 | Environmental Sustainability - JDM a Guelph Success Story
To view an excerpt from our success story presentation please visit www.sustainabilityguelph.ca website under “Environmental Sustainability.”
In 1987, the Brundtland Commission defined Sustainability as "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” From this perspective, environmental sustainability is fundamental to building a sustainable community: long-term social and economic sustainability are unachievable without continued, diligent management of essential natural resources.
